Steven C. Rockefeller is professor emeritus of religion at Middlebury College, where he also served as Dean of the College. He has played a leading role in the drafting and promotion of the Earth Charter, a declaration of global interdependence and universal responsibility. He currently serves as Co-Chair of CSE..
Dr. Lisa Miller
Lisa Miller is the President of The Collaborative for Spirituality in Education and Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University, Teachers College. She is the Author of
“The Spiritual Child; The New Science of Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving.” In addition she founded The Spiritual Mind Body Institute at Columbia.
Dr. Jack Miller
John (Jack) Miller has been working in the ﬁeld of holistic education for over 40 years. He teaches courses on holistic education and contemplative education at the University of Toronto. In addition, he has authored/edited over 20 books on holistic learning and contemplative practices in education.
Timothy Shriver is the
Co-Founder and current Chairman of CASEL, The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning. He is chairman of the International Board of Directors of Special Olympics promoting health, education, and a more uniﬁed world through the joy of sports.
The National Conference is Hosted by The National Council on Spirituality in Education (NCSE)
The goal of the National Council on Spirituality in Education is to provide a meeting ground for educators, researchers, academics, and others working in the field. The National Council aims to be a place to come together and share learning, research, resources and ideas related to spiritual development of children and adolescents in the school environment. This conference is an opportunity for “building the field” and a place where the national conversation on Spirituality in Education can flourish.
